- Dementia Friends is a global public awareness program that helps every member of a community learn five key messages about how dementia affects people, and how each person can make a difference through respect, patience, and communication skills. This session has been tailored to include a focus on the connections between visual impairment, I/DD and dementia. Presented by Beth Soltzberg, lead for Dementia Friends in Massachusetts, and Kathy Service, I/DD and dementia specialist.
