  • Netflix - The Audio Description Project, 
    an Initiative of the American Council of the Blind, has compiled this information about streaming videos with audio description tracks

  • How Do People with Low Vision Go to Museums? from Perkins e-Learning
  • Museum Passes from Perkins Library
    • The Library offers free or discount passes to seven area museums. Call 617-972-7240 or 800-852-3133 or email library@perkins.org for more information or to reserve a pass.
  • Museum of Fine Arts Boston Accessibility
    • The Museum is committed to accessibility for all visitors. For general access information, call 617-267-9300, or e-mail access@mfa.org
  • New England Aquarium 
    • Visitors using wheelchairs and visitors with visual impairments are welcome at the Aquarium free of charge.
    • An American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter is available from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the first Sunday of every month. ASL interpreters can be arranged to enhance the Aquarium experience for visitors who are hearing impaired. Please call 617-973-5206 at least two weeks in advance. 
Transportation 
  • MBTA Blind Access Charlie Card
    • ​​The card entitles user and a sighted guide to ride for free on all MBTA fixed-route services (bus, subway, commuter rail and commuter ferry)
  • Steamship Authority Free Travel 
    • Any passenger who is legally blind travels for free with proper identification from the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind. If the passenger is accompanied by a helper or companion, the helper or companion also travels for free.
  • ​GoGo Grandparent
    • By calling GoGo, older adults and riders of all ages can summon a ride through a Transportation Network Company (such as Uber or Lyft), without having to own or use a smartphone. GoGo also screens the vehicles and drivers based on riders' unique needs.
  • ​​Eye Ride Foundation
    • ​Apply for assistance with transportation costs
